Ingredients
Fish Fillets-5 pcs preferably bhetki/seabass or Tilapia can also be used.
Eggs 2
Breadcrumbs:2 cups
Corn Flour-1.5tbsp
salt
Oil for deep frying
Fish Marinade:
Freshly crushed black pepper:1/4 tsp
Juice of 1 lemon
Salt to taste
Second Marinade:
Onion Paste:1 tbsp
Garlic Paste:1 tsp
Ginger Paste:1 tsp
Coriander leaves paste:1/2 tsp
Green chili paste:1/2 tsp
Mint leaves paste:1/2 tsp
Method
1.We will marinate the fish with the first set of ingredients i.e, salt, pepper and juice of one lemon.Evenly apply them to the fish fillets.Lemon juice help to get rid of the fishy odour from the fish.Keep the fish for 10-15 minutes.After 10-15 mins the fish fillet will turn white in color due to the marination.
2.Prepare the second marination.In a mixing bowl mix coriander leaves paste,green chili paste,mint leaves paste,ginger-garlic paste and onion paste.
3.Apply the prepared marinate one by one to the fish fillet from every side.And keep them in a tray.Arrange all the fish fillet in a tray and cover the tray with a cling wrap and refrigerate it for at least 2 hours.So that all the flavors are well absorbed by the fish fillets.
4.Take a shallow bowl and mix eggs and corn flour together.Add salt and pepper to the egg mixer.Take the bread crumbs in a separate plate.We need a lot of bread crumb for this process.
5.Take each fish piece and lightly press with your palms so that excess water drips away.Now dip in the piece in the egg wash and then coat it with bread crumbs.Again dip it in the egg wash and again coat the fish piece in the bread crumbs.If you want a thick coat then repeat this process for 3 times.Else doing this 2 times will also give you good results.
6.Repeat the above process with all the other pieces.
7.Once all the pieces are well coated and ready.Heat oil in a wok and fry the fish pieces till golden brown and serve them with ketchup or mustard sauce.
