Gulab Jamun at Home


Ingredients


Mawa/Khova:270gms

Chenna/Paneer:80gms

Maida:1/4cup

Milk powder:1/4cup

Baking Powder:1 tsp

Sugar 1 tsp

Cardamom powder:1/2tsp


For Sugar Syrup

Sugar 400gms

Water 2cups

Milk 1tbsp

Add Kesar

Cardamom powder

Rose water


Method


1.Knead the mawa and grated paneer together till smooth.

2.Once the mawa and paneer are mixed with each other add the Maida and Milk powder to the mixture and keep kneading together.

3.Once all the ingredients are combined well add the baking powder,sugar and cardamom powder to the mixture and keep kneading till smooth.

4.Rest the dough for 15 minutes.

5.In the meanwhile prepare the Sugar syrup.Boil the sugar,water together.Once the water starts boiling add the kesar(saffron strands),cardamom powder and rose water to the syrup.

6.Make small balls with the smoothly kneaded dough.

7.Heat ghee/oil in a kadai on medium/low flame.Fry 4-5 balls of jamun in the kadai in low heat.



8.Once the jamuns are golden brown from all the sides take it out and then drop them into the warm syrup.



9.Enjoy hot Gulab Jamuns with syrup!
